As we have been learning about animals and what they need to survive, I brought in my own gerbils so the children could spend some time handling them and looking after them.
They really enjoyed watching them throughout the day and finding out what is needed to keep them alive. The children have been fantastic at handling the gerbils, taking real care with them and trying not to hurt them.
Hope I haven't sparked lots of Santa pet requests!
