The King's Coronation

30th Apr 2023

To mark the coronation of King Charles III, which takes place on Saturday 6th May, the government has announced that there will be an additional Bank Holiday on Monday 8th May 2023, which means that school will again be closed. We will reopen on Tuesday 9th May 2023.

Friday 5th May 2023 will be our special day to mark the coronation. The children are invited to dress up in party clothes or dress down if they would be more comfortable doing so. The children might like to come to school wearing something red, white or blue – or even all three colours! There is no pressure, whatever they choose to wear will be fine.

There will be a picnic lunch and on the day the children have an opportunity to do different activities in their classes and spend some time with their buddies too.
