Y1: The House on Maple Street

17th Nov 2019

Today the children were given a picture to look at in pairs.

They were given time to talk to each other about what they could see, what may be happening and what could happen.

In pairs, they fed back to the rest of the class but we did not confirm or clarify any of their ideas as being correct. So they were given more time to consider and discuss points shared by their peers along with any further ideas they had developed themselves.

Afterwards they wrote about the picture quietly, thoughtfully and independently.

Well done everyone! You all worked really hard and tried to include all of the things we have been learning in your work.
