Y2: The Great Fire of London!

22nd Jan 2020

Today we were incredibly lucky to have Fireman Andy visit our school in order to spend the day with the young people of Y2.

He talked to us about the Great Fire of London and how the Fire and Rescue Service has changed over the years.

He also explained to us about what fire equipment we use and talked about their properties and why they were good for fire fighters.

In the afternoon, we watched as our Tudor Houses were set alight in a safe and controlled way. We were amazed at how quickly they burned!

It was our own mini re-enactment of the Great Fire of London!

We have had a brilliant day, thank you Fireman Andy!
