Y5 STEM: Designing Moving Vehicles

Our Y5 designers have been busy deepening their knowledge of forces further this week by looking at the impact of streamlining cars! They each designed and made a balloon-operated vehicle, ensuring, first, that they were light enough for the balloon to power them, and not bulky so they created too much air resistance. They learned that air resistance can be both a help and a hindrance and had great fun seeing them race across the tables!

Next week they will all participate in the great SJF Grand Prix!
