Statement of Belief

17th May 2025
Next week our ‘Statement of Belief’ will be I notice we are the same and are different”

Time to think: Our school community is diverse, made up of children from different backgrounds. It is what makes our SJF family special.

We therefore celebrate our diversity, giving thanks for the way it enriches our school and experiences. We know that we are all children of God, and therefore understand why it is important to treat others with respect.

Failing to listen and to respect difference, can lead to mistrust in friendships and families. When nations fail to listen, and mistrust builds, it can even lead to conflict and war.

It is important to both pray for peace and work to ensure that our school is a place where everyone understands and celebrates similarities and differences. Why do you think some people have such a problem when others are different to them? What advice would you give them?
