SJF Sports Day 2023

9th Jun 2023

What a wonderful day of sport we had helped by the sunshine and good weather!

For the Festival of Sport in the morning the children were divided in to mixed-year group teams and participated in a number of different and fun challenges. Each team was allocated the name of different countries from different parts of the world: Uruguay, Morocco, Spain, France, Japan, Germany, Croatia, Ghana, Canada, Switzerland.

The children earned points for their efforts with each task plus extra points for demonstrating our school values when doing so - and boy did they! Such a super time was had by all.

Congratulations to all the children in the winning team - Ghana!

Also, well done to the individual winners of the various school values trophies. You were amazing!

The children then enjoyed a picnic lunch with friends and buddies.

In the afternoon, the children's families and friends joined us for our traditional races, with some even joining in with the adults' races!

All the children had opportunities to take part and each received a sticker, including those brave parents in the adults' races!

Thank you to all the volunteers and staff who made this event possible and so special for the children!

Thank you also to Mrs Broadhead for her hard work in coordinating another very special and successful sports day for the children and our community. It was absolutely brilliant!
