SJF Sports Day 2022

8th Jul 2022

Today we were able to enjoy our first Sports Day since 2019 and what a special day it was! Even the weather was kind to us. Our day was a celebration of physical activity, sport and positive competition.

All the children came to school dressed smartly in their PE uniforms, raring to go. In the morning we welcomed back our inclusive Festival of Sport which enabled the children to try (and enjoy) lots of different fun actitivies and challenges. Everyone had a great time!

In the afternoon we had two events with competitive races; one for our younger children followed by one for the children in Years 3 to 6.

I would like to thank all the family and friends who were able to join us in order to support the children. I would like to give a huge ‘thank you’ to Mrs Broadhead and Mr Johnson for their hard work in arranging this special day, it has been fantastic! I would like to thank those colleagues who supported the children so brilliantly and those who worked behind the scenes to ensure that everything ran smoothly. I would like to thank our brilliant volunteers and the PTFA for their support too. Finally, though, I would like thank the stars of today, our children, for their participation, engagement, effort, teamwork, bravery and sense of fun! You were all wonderful!
