SJF Eco Team - The Plans for 2026

28th Jan 2026

This week, our SJF Eco Team members reviewed their initial agenda and agreed priorities for 2026. Their main focus will be a long-term fundraising project, planned to culminate in the Year 5 Enterprise, alongside key sustainability themes.

Recycling remains a priority, with pupils proposing a local campaign to encourage households to recycle. Looking ahead to spring, the team also plans to carry out a bird and bug count, comparing results with last year to assess whether further action is needed to support wildlife around the school.

Eliana (Y3), supported by Chenai and Natalia (Y6), shared the team’s excitement about monitoring wildlife and continuing work on sustainability, recycling and fundraising. Our SJF Eco Team will meet again before the end of the term to complete the counts, with findings shared soon after.
