SJF Books of the Week!

27th May 2021

This week's book recommendation for our older children comes from Mr Broadhead and is called 'The Best Christmas Present in the World' by Michael Morpurgo.

Mr Broadhead writes...

This is a story that covers every emotion.

The elation of celebrating Christmas but the sadness of being away from family, just to name two.

The story will take you to a completely different world of emotions that everyone will be able to relate to and feel, especially when reading the book during the cold and dark winter months.

The story enables the reader to build an understanding of what the soldiers went through.
