Y5 Science: Investigating the Reproduction of Plants
5th Jun 2026
This week, our Y5 scientists spent time exploring the school grounds and gardens, observing busy bees at work in their natural habitat.
The children learned about the vital role bees play in our environment. As important pollinators, bees help plants reproduce by transferring pollen between flowers. This process is essential for the growth of many fruits, vegetables and wild plants, helping to ensure that we have food to eat and healthy ecosystems to enjoy.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to see science in action and gain a greater appreciation of these remarkable insects and the important job they do.
