Y4 Science : The Water Cycle
3rd Jun 2026
In our science lesson this week, our Y4 children learned about the water cycle and scientific changes of state that take place. They learned how the heat from the sun causes sea water to evaporate, which rises as steam and then condenses as it meets colder air above, to create clouds.
When enough water particles have joined together the droplets fall as precipitation (or rain) and the cycle begins again. Our children were very excited to create their own precipitation (raindrops) in the classroom, speeding up the process by using warm water and ice above the lid to recreate colder air above.
Well done, everyone for being super investigative scientists this week!
