Y1 Science: Investigating Wild Flowers

Today the children have been learning about wild flowers and how they grow without anyone actually planting the seeds.  They also learnt that an unwanted wild flower might be referred to as a 'weed'. 

The children explored the school grounds in order to search for examples and they completed a chart as they recorded what they discovered.

The children studied flowers, leaves and considered the sizes of plants - using a key to identify some.
