Y1 Science: Our Changing Environment (An Exploration of Autumn)

16th Oct 2022

The children enjoyed being outside as they investigated how our environment changes during the beautiful season Autumn.

As part of these investigations, they paid particular attention to a deciduous tree and a specific area of our grounds

The children observed the tree, and different aspects within this area of our grounds, closely - sharing and recording their observations, carefully.

Over the year they will continue to observe this area and the tree, taking careful note of any changes they observe. They will then use this information to note similarities and differences, as they consider how the seasons affect and change our environment.

The children recalled and considered the different signs of autumn and children and were each given a sheet to go on an 'autumn hunt' over the holidays, with family and friends if they want to.
