Y1 Science: Investigating Plants

The children have been learning about the main parts of a flowering and their functions.

They were all very impressed to know that green leaves catch sunshine and use it to help make the plant's own food - how clever!

They then created their own collages of flowering plants, which look wonderful! As a challenge they also chose one part of the plant and wrote what it's function was.
