Y1 Science: Observing Plants Grow!

21st May 2024

Over the course of the term the children have monitored the growth of their sunflowers from seed. They have recorded the changes, weekly, in their own plant diaries, and this week they took them home. We look forward to hearing how they grow more when they are planted at home. Please send us photos (year1@st-johnfisher.org) especially if any lovely yellow sunflowers appear.

A couple of children's seeds did not germinate and grow, unfortunately, so they observed the growth of other flowers in class. These children were given a nasturtium plant to take home instead, that had also been planted in school.
