Y1 Science: Investigating Plants and Seeds

Where do new plants come from?

The children sorted a range of objects into seeds and not seeds, telling me that seeds are needed to grow new plants. 

They looked at different types of bulbs and seeds, discussing what they noticed. Everyone planted seeds, including a sunflower seed. We will observe the growth and changes each week and record what is seen in individual 'lant Diaries'.
