Y2 Safer Internet Day 2025

11th Feb 2025

It was 'Safer Internet Day 2025' this week, and our Y2 children listened to a story about a duck who believes everything he read about some animals on the internet. In the story, the children discovered that not everything online is true, and they learned that the duck needed to 'fact check' with his parents/carers, experts and other websites before deciding whether to trust what he had read on the internet.

The children then discussed the importance of checking things they read online with a trusted adult and they also reflected on the importance of telling someone (Tell! Tell! Tell!) if they are online and something does not feel right, is scary, or makes them feel sad or woried.
