Safeguarding Reminders

20th Jan 2024
Sharing Concerns
In our community both staff and Governors take safeguarding extremely seriously. Concerns can be raised directly with our SJF Safeguarding Team and Governors, in person, over the phone, via email, letter or by using our new Whisper button, on our homepage, which enables reports of concerns to be made via a short report or text, at any time, including outside of school hours – and anonymously - if the reporter prefers.

There are always two members of staff on the gate at the start and end of every school day, and at least one of these, will be a member of our SJF Safeguarding Team. If you need to talk, we are available, and will bring you in to school to listen in confidence, if this is preferable and more appropriate.

Operation Encompass
Our community is proud to be an Operation Encompass school. ‘Operation Encompass’ is a notification participating schools receive if one of their pupils is exposed to, or involved in, any sort domestic incident. This can include incidents of police attending the family property. Click here to find out more.

Trained members of our SJF Safeguarding Team are informed so that we can respond appropriately to help ensure and support the safety and wellbeing of any children and family members affected.
