Y1 Mathematics: Regrouping In Order to Add

29th Jun 2021

A message from Mrs Sambrook:

We are so proud of the young people in Y1 for their hard work and for the persistence and determination they have demonstrated in our Mathematics lessons this week as they have learned how to regroup, using a place value mat and other resources.

Some found it tricky to begin, but by following step-by-step instructions; practicing; explaining how to regroup to our visiting aliens (genuinely a visiting alien was helped by the children); and lots of good partner talk, the children have not only worked fantastically hard, but they can now also record the process too!

We are such proud teachers!
