Y4 RE: Our Lenten Promises

15th Mar 2024

During our season of Lent, the children of Y4 have spent some time learning about the ways we can be closer to God through various ways - a Lenten Promise. They have discussed fasting, almsgiving and prayer, and the importance of each aspect having a role to play in our mission. After the discussions, each child made a Lenten Promise of their own, which was a very special moment in our classroom.

Subsequently, the children have created and decorated their very own special place for their Lenten Promise - both as a physical reminder in the classroom of their promises, as well as a beautiful way to celebrate the wonderful things we are all doing every day to become closer to God. They have collected their own sticks from around the school grounds, decorated their pots with springtime florals, and used evergreens to remind us all of God's never-ending love for us.

The children are very proud of their special pieces, which look absolutely beautiful around our classroom.
