FS2 RE: Sharing the Good News!

30th May 2025

In RE, during the final week, our FS2 children thought carefully about how Jesus' friends, the apostles, shared the good news about Jesus. Our children learned that the apostles wanted to tell everyone, but not everyone liked Jesus so sometimes they used a secret symbol of a fish to show others that they knew and loved Jesus.

Miss D'Roza and the children put secret fish pictures around school to show that this is a place where we all know and love Jesus and because we understand that Jesus also loves us. This symbol is also part of our SJF school badge.

Did anyone find any of the secret fish symbols in the playground area?

"St John Fisher is a school where pupils are safe, happy and valued. Staff are deeply
invested in pupils’ academic and pastoral development. The school has high ambitions for
what pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), can
learn. These ambitions are realised effectively. As a result, pupils achieve very well."
