PTFA Santa in School 2020!

6th Dec 2020

Today we were visited by Santa! The children and staff in school looked brilliant, dressed in their Christmas jumpers or party clothes! The day began with Santa and his elves greeting our children and families as they arrived for the start of the day!

Everyone was so excited! Santa then visited each class and spent a little time with the children in each, safely distanced. Everyone had a wonderful time! I am delighted that Santa is returning on Monday 7th December in order to see the children in Y5 who will be returning from isolation on that day.

I would like to thank our incredible PTFA for all their hard work in organising and running this most special of events in our annual school calendar! Never has it been more needed and more appreciated than this year.

Obviously this year has been particularly challenging, and though regulations and restrictions meant that certain aspects of the day had to be scaled back, what was so richly evident was all the thought, hard work and enthusiasm that had gone in to making the day so special. It was an incredible feat!

Events like this, which contribute so richly to our children’s experience of school, do not happen by magic. They take planning and teamwork. If you would like to get involved; to make a real difference to children in our school by helping the PTFA please get in touch. All offers of help are appreciated greatly.

New members and their ideas are always welcomed! If you want to find out more please email the Clair Prestidge and PTFA committee (ptfa@st-johnfisher.org). Pictures of Santa Claus in classes will be shared after he has visited Y5 on Monday, but here are a few of Santa greeting the children at the beginning of the day…
