FS2 Pirate Day: PIRATES BEWARE!!!

12th Jul 2025

This term our FS2 children have been learning about the seaside, and what to expect on a visit. As well as this they have investigated the amazing marine life under the sea.

This week we started to find out more about coastal areas in other parts of the world, particularly in warmer places. The children have learned about the importance of the sea long ago for people living by the sea, when more people and goods travelled by boat – including PIRATES!

Friday was our fantastic Pirate Day and everyone had lots of fun. They went on a big treasure hunt; they captured Bobby Bear from Y1; practised climbing the rigging; were look-outs from the crow's nest; they walked the plank; stepped across a swamp land and tunnelled for treasure.

The day ended with a pirate tea party! ooooaaahhh!
