Y5 Mathematics: Investigating Area and Perimeter!

As part of their maths this week, our Y5 pupils investigated area and perimeter. They began by using the snow as a guide for finding the perimeter of our playground. Could we do it or would we go astray? The footprints in the snow would tell the story!

The children were pleased that they managed to include all sides as they found the perimeter of the playground. They didn't even walk side by side as this would put one of us away from the perimeter!
