Our Statement of Belief

22nd May 2022

Our ‘Statement of Belief’ is, “I understand what trust means.”

Time to talk: What is trust? Using a dictionary look up its meaning. ‘Trust’ is something very special that is born out of the love and respect one person has for another.

It is something to be treasured and is close in many ways to ‘faith’.

Trust is such an important part of school life and learning because every day our children are challenged to trust the grown-ups in school who are there to help them learn. In each lesson the children are encouraged to step forward, sometimes out of their comfort zones, as they learn new and exciting things, and develop as young people.

The children know that the grown-ups are there to to help them to feel happy, safe and loved. They understand that adults can also be trusted if they have a worry to share.

What would school be like without trust?

Can people be proper friends with one another if trust is lacking or not there?

Why does Jesus call every single one of us to trust in Him, especially when we struggle and life seems hard?
