Our October Prayer: Hail Holy Queen

3rd Oct 2020

As October is the month of Mary our ‘gathering’ song will change to ‘Ave Maria’ and we have renewed the display in the Sacred Space and in the School Hall. We will share the Rosary and our prayer of the month is ‘Hail Holy Queen’.

This is a traditional Catholic prayer to Our Lady is not said as often these days which is why we include it in our prayer programme.

If you would like to share the prayer as part of your prayer life at home here are the words are here

Hail, holy Queen,

Mother of mercy,

Hail our life, our sweetness and our hope.

To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.

To thee do we send up our sighs,

Mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious advocate,

Thine eyes of mercy toward us,

And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.
