Our Latest BYB Challenge

31st Oct 2024

The latest 'Beat Your Best' challenge set by our Sports Majors will help develop skills useful when playing basketball.

Children, working in small groups, the children will take turns holding the hoop or having a go with the ball.

The challenge requires children to dribble the ball towards the child holding the hoop, before aiming and shooting the ball through the hoop. They then retrieve the ball and throw it to the next child in the line, whilst taking over, holding the hoop, for the next child to have a go.

Challenge can be increased by:
 - reducing the size of the hoop
 - increasing the the distance from which the child with the ball can take a shot.

Join the Sports majors at breaktime, and see if you can beat your best! Good luck!
