Y1: Exploring Our Environment

5th Jan 2022

Last term we looked at an area of our school grounds and thought carefully about what we could see, hear and smell and discussed anything else of interest that we noticed.

Today we returned to the same area of school in order to repeat the exercise.

As the season has changed the children noticed lots of differences and recorded these as sketches and written notes. We will go back to the same area and do further observations later in the year.

This week we will link our English and science work, as we continue to think about winter so the children can use what they discover and learn to help them to write their very own a winter-themed poem.
