Our Advent Wreath Blessing Liturgy 2022

27th Nov 2022

To mark the beginning of the season of Advent and our shared journey to the great feast of Christmas the young people of Y4 led our annual Advent Wreath Blessing liturgy - and it was wonderful!

Through readings and song the true message of Advent was shared so that we could all understand why the season of Advent is such an important part of the Church’s year.

I would like to thank Fr Bede for joining us and for blessing our wreaths. I would like to thank Mrs Holloway, Mrs Barrett and Mrs Raynes for helping to prepare the children. Finally, I would like to thank the young people of Y4 for leading our joyous and thought-provoking liturgy so brilliantly! What a fitting way to start the season of Advent here at St John Fisher!

The liturgy will be uploaded to our SJF website shortly, and will be available to watch by clicking this link.
