Our 'Statement to Live By'

6th May 2019

Our ‘statement to live by’ is ‘I understand what trust means’.

Time to talk: What is trust? Using a dictionary look up its meaning. Were you right? Close?

‘Trust’ is God’s gift.

It something very special that is born out of the love and respect one person has for another.

It is something to be treasured and is close to ‘faith’.

Trust is such an important part of school life and learning. Every day the children are challenged to trust the grownups who are there to help them learn. They are encouraged to step, bravely, out of their comfort zones and into a place where they might struggle, but in a positive and productive way, whilst they grow knowledge, expand experiences and hone skills.

What would school be like if learners did not trust teachers and teachers did not trust learners?

Can there be friendships without trust?

Why does Jesus call every single one of us to trust in Him, especially when we are struggling and life seems hard?
