Ordinal Numbers

This week we have been thinking about position and order. 

We had races to see who finished first, second etc. 

We then arranged toys into position order saying 1 and 1st, 2 and 2nd etc. 

We found 'second' (2nd) the hardest because it didn't have the word 'two' in it. 

We will be thinking about 'left' and 'right' later in the week because this will help us to describe position in more detail, e.g. 'He is second from the left'.
