Y1 Mathematics: Investigating Numbers to 20!

We have been working within 0 and 20 in our Mathematics lessons; counting forwards and backwards; finding one more and one less than a given number and comparing 2 numbers to say which is greater or smaller.  

The children have also been thinking about how a 'teens' number is made using 10 and some more. 

For example, 15 is made by a 10 and 5 more. 

the children have been using different objects and pictorial representations to help support new learning.
