Today the children have been learning about non-fiction texts. They looked at the features of non-fiction books about plants and flowers. They spotted titles, author, illustrator, headings, pictures, captions and labels. They were able to read lots of facts from the books. In groups they were detectives and spotted these features within their book.
Over the next few days the children will be creating a non-fiction book about plants to show their knowledge about plants and non-fiction texts. We can't wait to see what our young authors create.
