This week the children have been learning to compare numbers to 20, using key vocabulary such as: equal, more and fewer. We then extended this, so that the children were forming sentences such as:
"There are five more blue counters than green."
"There are four fewer green counters than blue."
We used a range of equipment to introduce this work and moved to using picture representations to help the children compare.
We will be using this work going forward to find the difference between two numbers.
