Today the children took their learning out of the classroom and into the hall -as it as raining outside. Using hoops and bean bags they combined two parts to form a whole in order to find how many bean bags they had, in total. Back in class the children they extended this learning when they were introduced to equations.
A part of 3 and a part of 2 means we have 5 in the whole, which is written as 3 + 2 = 5.
