Today the children used a table as a number line. They turned over random numbers between 0 and 20 before deciding where along the line (the table) the number should go. They then had to give reasons for their answers.
For example 'I put 18 over at this end because I know the end is 20 and 18 is very near to 20 - just a bit before...'
