Y1: Materials Investigation

Today the Y1 children carried out a fair test in order to find out what material would be the best to create a roof with for a new house. Obviously the children want to keep the pigs dry in the rain!

They then worked as a team and followed instructions designed to help them investigate different materials. 

Tomorrow they will review findings and draw their own conclusions about the most suitable materials.

They will then use their findings in group task which will be to design and construct a new house, using suitable materials, that will keep the pigs dry.
