SJF Community Carol Service 2025

18th Dec 2025

Our fantastic KS2 children in Years 3–6 led this year’s Community Carol Service superbly. They sang a beautiful combination of traditional and contemporary songs, hymns and carols, seamlessly interspersed with readings they had written themselves, imagined from the perspectives of those connected with the Nativity story.

The combination of the children’s singing and readings was deeply moving, clearly conveying the role of Advent in helping us all to understand the true meaning of Christmas.

Well done to all of the wonderful children, and to the staff who encouraged, prepared and supported them so effectively.

We also extend our thanks to the PTFA for providing refreshments back at school afterwards, and to our Y6 Chaplains who welcomed everyone and sold raffle tickets, supported by Mrs Grayson and Mrs Ramsden.
