Today the children carried out a science investigation to help Paddington find the most suitable material with which to make a new umbrella.
The children helped decide the scientific question about what we wanted to find out, and then considered how they could go about this.
We made predictions, planned a test that was fair, before carrying it out collaboratively. The children then drew their own conclusions from their observations.
