How to catch the big bad wolf

5th Feb 2018

Last week the fairy tale police asked for our help to describe the big bad wolf.  The children wrote super WANTED posters.  We then heard from them again; this time asking for ideas as to how to catch the wolf.  The children role played how they might set a trap.  We had disguised holes, melting ice to slip on and shutting doors.  Here are some of the photos.  Yesterday the children had their group's photo and wrote a  more detailed explanation as to how to catch the wolf.

Later in the week the children will hear the story of the Three Little Pigs from the wolf's point of view.  Maybe he was misunderstood!?!?!?! The children will then write a sorry card to the pigs as though they are the big bad wolf.
