Y1 History: Investigating Transport

Our children have been thinking carefully about all the different modes of transport that they know - and considered different vehicles that use the air, sea and land.
Working in groups, the children compiled lists which they then sorted into different categories.
Over the coming weeks we focus on trains, in particular, and consider how their designs have changed and developed over the years. They will also learn about a significant historical figure, linked to train travel.
Your child will be bringing home an optional home activity linked to our topic, which you can do together, so please look out for it!
