Y1 History: Investigating Homes

4th Jun 2022

We have started our new topic, in which we are learning about homes.

Today the children considered all of the different types of homes and houses that they had seen or knew about. Some were more unusual such as a houseboat.

The children have been challenged to try and spot different sorts of homes when they are out and about e.g. detached homes, semi-detached homes, flats/apartments, terraced homes and bungalows. Why not have a look on your journeys to and from school?

Some children drew pictures of their own homes and some sorted different house types in to groups, matching them to to correct name.
