Y1 History: Sorting Toys

24th Sep 2022

We enjoyed investigating a range of different toys (artefacts), using clues to help us decide whether toys are older or newer.

Some clues we looked for included whether a toy was worn, rusty or even broken; what material was used to make it; and whether the toy looked familiar to us.

Some toys were easy to make decisions about, but we found others a little more tricky.

The children then used a basic Venn diagram, independently, to sort pictures of toys based on their feature!
