Today the children have been showing off what they have learned over the year in terms of grammar, punctuation and spelling:
- where to use capital letters
- deciding whether to use full stops, question marks or exclamation marks
- identifying adjectives
- using the conjunction 'and' to join two shorter sentences together
Of course our expectation is that the children will try hard to apply this knowledge in all writing, but for today, the focus was on the above specifically.
