FANTASTIC NEWS!!!

12th Jul 2025

We are absolutely delighted to share the exciting news that Mrs Broadhead has received the Primary Sports Leadership Award at a special ceremony hosted by the LINKS School Sports Partnership at the prestigious English Institute of Sport (EIS).

This award is a well-deserved recognition of Mrs Broadhead’s exceptional dedication and leadership in promoting PE and healthy lifestyles at St John Fisher for nearly a decade.

In addition to developing a vibrant and inclusive PE curriculum, Mrs Broadhead has worked tirelessly to broaden opportunities for all pupils by offering a diverse range of extra-curricular activities. She has also ensured that our children regularly take part in city-wide competitions and festival, representing our school with pride alongside children from schools across Sheffield.

Her commitment to pupil voice and participation is equally impressive. She has gone out of her way to offer after-school activities based on pupils’ interests, and has trained and supported our Sports Majors and Leaders to deliver BYB (Beat Your Best) challenges, encouraging even more children to get involved and stay active.

In a further mark of success, St John Fisher was also awarded the Platinum School Games Award, in recognition of sustaining the standard required for the Gold Award for five consecutive years. This outstanding achievement reflects not only Mrs Broadhead’s leadership, but also the enthusiasm and effort of our children and colleagues.

We warmly congratulate and thank Mrs Broadhead for her incredible hard work, and we are thrilled to see her receive the recognition she so richly deserves.
