Y1 Geography: Exploring Our Local Area

Our Y1 explored Hackenthorpe, our local area, to carry out fieldwork, collecting data about local features. They noted the location of hills, the post office, bins, flats, churches, schools, tram stops, the skate park, shops, pubs and phone boxes.  

The children recorded what they found and these observations will form the basis of future work they will do. 

On behalf of the children we would like to thank all the fantastic team of volunteers who accompanied us, we all really do appreciate their help.
