Y1 Geography Fieldwork: Investigating the Local Area

27th Feb 2023

Our Y1 pupils have been out on a fieldwork trip to enhance their understanding and learning in Geography.

They walked around our local area, Hackenthorpe, and nearby Birley, looking for different features and landmarks. They then recorded what they saw on clipboards.

The children will use this to support the work they will be doing next week, which will include documenting what they saw during our walk and drawing their own map of the area.

Our Y1 team would like to thank all of the adults who accompanied the children on the walk. Their help was really appreciated!
