Y1 Food Technology: Our Super Salad Plates!

28th Jun 2023

Last week the children practised knife skills, in order to cut different foods safely for their salads.

They then designed their own salad plates with the brief that they should appeal to younger children.

Our creative chefs came up with a range of designs which included flowers, faces, people, rainbows and eye-catching patterns.

This week the children followed their designs and actually made their salads.

What do you think? Don’t they look wonderful?

After all of the hard work, the children were able to eat their salads, and some children even tried some foods that they had not eaten before!
