SJF Eco Team Update: Our Swift Box Competition Winner!

28th Mar 2025

Mrs Steenson, Coordinator

This week, the children of our SJF Eco Team met to vote for the winning entry in our Swift Box decoration contest. It was a very tough decision, with lots of amazing and creative designs being put forward from children in all classes.

After several rounds of voting and much discussion, the team managed to narrow it down to a final three, before eventually selecting the winner.

The winning designer had used lots of imagination and beautiful imagery to illustrate what they like most about the environment - and the overall winner was Caitlyn in Y5!

Well done, Caitlyn!

The winning design will be painted onto the Swift Box before it is placed outside in the grounds, at the start of the new term.

The members of our SJF the Eco Team were so impressed by the designs that they have decided to award a special FS2/KS1 prize (FS2 and Years 1 and 2) and KS2 prize (Years 3-6) as well – which they will be presented after the holiday.

Our FS2/KS1 winner was Orla in FS2, whilst the KS2 winner was Ivy in Y4!

Congratulations to both children!

It was brilliant to see so many children get behind the competition, with the money raised being used to support future SJF Eco Team projects, in and around school. Thank you to everybody who participated, every design entered was unique. Eco Team members enjoyed seeing the hard work that entrants put into their creations.

We hope you will continue to support us in future projects with the same passion and dedication.
